We’ve made our love of We Barbarians more than obvious, so when the Long Beachers paid a trip to Daytrotter studios, it was a dream come true. For those not familiar with Daytrotter, they’ve got a wonderful thing going. Running their own music studio, each week they invite 3 bands down to record a handful of tracks which are then posted to the Daytrotter website for you to download for free.

With big names like Cold War Kid, The Spinto Band and Vampire Weekend, backed up by a heap of indie favourites, it’s no surprise Daytrotter has a glowing reputation amongst the online music community.

And so this week brought us We Barbarians. Recording the majority of wonderful debut EP ‘In The Doldrums’, the band give a run down of each track along side each free download, making the session more than worth your time.

Daytrotter draw their own album art for you too. Kindness personified.
