Heading to the mall to finish off some last minute Christmas shopping an unwitting housewife (Basinger) gets caught up in a chase to the death with a group of thugs. Set largely in a dark, dingy forest, While She Was Out is an effective horror/thriller as Kim Basinger returns to the screen for an adept performance under constant duress.
