As with most things in life, it’s not always the big guns that provide the most entertainment value. Sure, Chelsea won the Premiership 2 of the last 3 seasons, but Arsenal are far more entertaining to watch, Evan Almighty cost a weighty $175m but made for a mere $20m, Superbad will give you a ton more laughs, while any sensible music fan prefers an upcoming indie band to arrogant ‘rockers’ U2.

While in the fashion business, heavyweight desingers do certainly give a good show, the low-key designers, fresh out of university, can provide a great deal more imagination. Ioannis Dimitrousis is such a talent.

When an invitation to his show landed on our doorstep we jumped at the chance to preview his latest works. Experimenting with unusual fabrics and decorative beads to a backdrop of heavy German rock music and drum’n’bass, Ioannis didn’t disappoint. This is one designer that will be worth your time even if he does make it as a heavyweight.
