Designed by the appropriately-named Skylab Architecture, the Skyline Resident in Oregon, USA, sits on a steep slope, overlook the gorgeous Willamette Valley and Oregon Coast range. Comprised of two main interlocking segments, the private spaces are located in the upper level within a timber brame construction, while an ethereal black steel structure supports the core of the house, with warmer woods bringing life to the kitchen and living space. Wonderfully, storm water is also channeled to the planters before returning to the grid, reducing the cost of irrigation.
