Tasked with revamping a three-bedroom apartment in an aged Hong Kong residential building, New York design studio Lim+Lu wanted to challenge the structure of a conventional living environment. Creating a flexible, open-plan living space, while maintaining the option of privacy, suspended sliding doors can be closed to cordon off would-be ‘rooms’. The flexible, adaptive apartment has been designed to better suit our modern, transient way of living, especially in space-poor urban homes.
