A striking and experimental home, Villa Além by architect Valerio Olgiati is an expansive concrete structure that creates serene spaces for people to live and breathe. Located in Alentejo, Portugal, some 10km inland from the Atlantic Ocean, Villa Além is a single-storey home with imposing five and a half metre walls that produce ever-changing shadows in the central courtyard. The outdoor pool and amazing open-ended workspace bring the outside in, connecting the property to the expansive desertland beyond the property walls.
