Fans of the classic LucasArts video game age that brought us Sam And Max, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Day Of The Tentacle and of course the Monkey Island series have been left in the dark for a fair few years now. A new 3D fling with Sam And Max helped to patch up splitting wounds but gamers needed more to fulfil their urges.
At last they now have it.
Next to be given the Telltale Games episode treatment is Monkey Island with a couple of new titles on the horizon. First up will be Tales From Monkey Island, a brand new adventure. Once again controlling Guybrush Threepwood, his never-ending battle with nemesis pirate LeChuck curses the Monkey Island world, leaving Threepwood to save the day yet again.
And even better the original game The Secret Of Monkey Island will be re-released, updated and with floppy disks no where to be found.
