Not foreign to humour in their superhero action films, Marvel appear to be making a comedy with a side of action in their summer blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy. Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista, plus the vocal talents of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, the band of misfits come together to form the titular force and stop villain Ronan. The film is co-written and direct by James Gunn, whose back catalogue won’t instill too much confident, but hopes are still high when Guardians of the Galaxy hits theatres August 1st.
