Popular video game series Hitman is the latest in a long line of video game to film adaptations, only this time, there is actually some promise.

After the dreadful Vin Diesel stepped down from the lead role, rising star Tim Olyphant plays gun-for-hire Agent 47, framed in a political takeover and chased by Interpol and the Russian Mafia. 47 will have to fight not only to clear his name but against his emotions as the beautiful Nika (Olga Kurylenko) finds her way into his life.

Dougray Scott and Prison Break’s Robert Knepper provide further support and with Luc Besson’s production company Europa Corp. on board, there are great hopes for Hitman, out mid-October.
