3-D is a gimmick, anyone who claims the extra dimension aids storytelling techniques is kidding themselves, so as studios continue to shove it down our throats, at least the films that treat it for what it is, can offer some fun along the way. Remaking the 1978 original, modern horror legend Alexandre Aja returns with Piranha 3-D, and while it almost certainly won’t be as good as Switchblade Romance, I’m still looking forward to it.
Piranha 3-D is schedule for a release late August.
