Film Footage: Prince Of Persia

The original Prince Of Persia 2D platformer was one of the greatest games of its generation, and with the recent 3D update, most notably Sands Of Time, the adventures of Prince Dastan will be under the spotlight when the film adaptation is released next summer. While I was previously excited about the project, with the release of new behind the scenes footage, even Jake Gyllenhaal’s casting is feeling a little lacklustre.

In action, Gyllenhaal doesn’t quite seem right for the role, nor can he pull off his new found pecks. You never know, when Prince Of Persia does at last hit cinemas, it might prove to be the greatest video game adaptation to date, though that isn’t really saying much, but we won’t especially be getting out hopes up.

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is released 28th May 2010.
