DVD Review: The Legend Is Born: Ip Man

Semi-biographical martial arts extravaganza exploring the remarkable early life of Ip Man, the Wing Chun master who would later become the mentor of Bruce Lee. The action and martial arts choreography is excellent as you’d expect and the film also features Ip Man’s real son, 76-year-old Ip Chun and as Ip Man’s kung fu master. As often is the case, soon the story passes into the background, but it doesn’t hold the film back too much.
