DVD Review: Cadillac Records

Though it falls down the same music-biopic clichés as almost every other film in its genre, Cadillac Records is still an entertaining film, exploring the life of music exec. Leonard Chess and Chess Records, and the many recording artists he crossed paths with.

The cast do a fine job, surprisingly including Beyoncé as Etta James.

It won’t be for all and can be hugely frustrating at times for its lack of invention, but fans of the genre will have a field day.
