On display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) every Friday and weekends, Chris Burden’s incredible Metropolis II find a perfect home in the West Coast’s automobile central. The scale model is home to over 1,000 model cars, travelling at 240 scale miles per hour, “the noise, the continuous flow of the trains, and the speeding toy cars, produces in the viewer the stress of living in a dynamic, active and bustling 21st Century city.”
