What do you think? Nice teases at quirky secondary characters and what looks like a good villain. The dialogue is as snappy as a little kid can expect, which does warm the heart of us nostalgics. And a nice twist on the classic tale. But if you pay attention I think the plot is given away, so I’m gonna make a prediction.
I’m pretty sure I’m right (cockiness does that to you) so I will hide my prediction in white font so as not to spoil for anyone who doesn’t want so. If you want to read it, just highlight the paragraph below.
Plot Twist The Second: She’s not a princess. That’s why she turned into a frog, but true love’ll fix it.
In any case, lets hope this movie isn’t purely marketed as “back to the classic style”, instead focussed on the two great directors behind it, Ron Clements and John Musker. And if those names are new to you, re-watch Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. It’s a good way to spend a Sunday.
