Another example of how successful Kickstarter can be as a pre-launch webstore, whether they like admit it or not, Sword & Plough‘s luggage and accessory collection is made entirely recycled military surplus, working with veterans to produce durable and stylish bags. From an iPhone case, to iPad case, totebag, messenger and rucksack, the simple khaki colours made for a welcome break from the current bright Herschel epidemic. Prices range from $35-$269, though you can also get involved for just $1 and you’ll receive a card in the post, or for $5,000 get your hands on it all, and name one of their new lines after yourself, or a hero of your choosing.

Backed up to $171,000 with 15 days still to go, it’s fair to say they’ve smashed the $20,000 target they had set out. Get involved yourself on the Kickstart page here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/swordandplough/sword-and-plough
