Whether it’s a play on how long The Hives have been away or just a mark of their abrasive, loud style, who cares, ‘Tick Tick Boom’ will finally be released on Monday, the first single off their forthcoming album.
Reminiscent of classic track ‘Walk Idiot Walk’, ‘Tick Tick Boom’ single has the catchy riffs you’d expect, the energetic vocals of ‘Howlin’ Pete Armqvist cramming noise down your throat and the odd bomb explosion, making this one of The Hives’ best tracks to date. Their full LP ‘The Black and White Album’, due out October 15th, is fantastic, expect a full review in LOAD issue 9.
