Now in its fifth year, the first announcement of who will be hitting the stages in 2010 have been released by the organizers of the annual Ghostfest.

Gallows, Devil Sold His soul, Knuckledust and also the re-formed The Seventh Cross (with original line up) are just some of the stellar acts announced so far.

Gallows front man Frank Carter comments, “It’s awesome to be playing an independent festival again with friends like TRC, More than life and all the other brilliant acts which will be announced. See you in June!”

After last year’s event selling out two months before the date, Ghostfest has stepped up for 2010 to take place at the larger capacity Leeds University Union. Ghostfest founder Toyan St.Hilaire said, “When I started this festival five years ago I had no idea we’d be running it at 2,500 capacity one day. This is our biggest year yet and I am beyond stoked to have an incredible line up of acts to present to the Ghostfest faithful.”

In addition to the usual hard-hitting line up of bands, there are two consecutive after-parties running this year, with the first confirmed live act for the main room being a live show from Pritchard vs Dainton of Dirty Sanchez fame.

Co-promoter Michael Jones said, “This year with the step up in capacity it was important for us to offer the fans more than just two stages with bands on. The after party’s this year are just one of a number of tricks we have up our sleeves to make Ghostfest 2010 the ultimate party weekend of the year.”

Ghostfest takes place in Leeds University Union on the weekend of June 26th and 27th with tickets priced at £20 for each day, or £30 for the weekend. On sale from Friday 16th April at 9am.
