We were in the audience a few weeks ago when film collective Canada talked the attendees of It’s Nice That’s Here 2013 Symposium through their process for their video for Phoenix track, Trying To Be Cool. Signing the talk off by premiering the video, we’re delighted it’s now available to the masses. A series of one-upmanship, the video was filmed using just two cameras in a single studio environment, and the crew intentionally running through the background to prepare the next shot. Countdown screens tell you when that cut is coming, with confetti canons, motorbikes, dancers and a monkey to spice things up. Expect some awards at Cannes next year.
