It has been revealed, somewhat inadvertantly by Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons), that Arcade Fire’s latest offering (due spring 2010) may be produced by the same man responsible for their last album. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this but yeah, he’s working on the next Arcade Fire record at the moment,” he said in an interview with 6 music.
The man in question is Markus Dravs. Dravs has worked with the likes of Bjork, Coldplay and The Maccabees, and was responsible for the bands 2007 album, ‘Neon Bible’.
Billboard also revealed that the band will be releasing a single before the album comes out and also that the band are considering playing some live shows including, wait for it… the summer festivals! So that means next year, there is a possibilty of a festival line up that includes The Strokes, Daft Punk, Interpol, AND Arcade Fire:
