Futurama

When Fox, alongside Comedy Central, greenlit 26 new episodes to form a sixth season of the much celebrated cartoon Futurama, for once, the heavily criticised company appeared to be making some good decisions for their creative future. How quickly everything can change.

One of the best things about Futurama has always been the voice acting. Sure the writing is fantastic, and the animation amongst the best in the world, but it was the vocal work that truly brought the characters to life. So what do Fox decide to do… a recast.

Released last Thursday, Fox put out a casting call for voice actors for characters for the entire show. Regulars Fry, Leela, Bender, Prof. Farnsworth and Zoidberg, all the way down to the hilarious Zapp Brannigan, Kif and Mom will be re-voiced.

And with that, goes our excitement for the new season.

If you want to be involved in ruining Futurama, or if you feel you could in fact do a better job than the original voice actors, send an example of your work to FUTURAMA@SCOTTMULLERCASTING.COM.
