Fed up with the state of State number plates in the US, graphic designer Jonathan Lawrence started an ambitious project to redesign them all. With the help of 49 of the most exciting designers from across America, plus his own fair pair of hands, the States Plates Project reimagines the license plate for all 50 states, each with a style true to the state’s heritage. With a new plate going live every day, Jonathan is currently 12 states into the project, with the designers also sharing their process behind each design.
