Carl Hansen & Son relaunch the classic 1949 “Metropolitan Chair”

Originally launched in 1949, Carl Hansen & Son are bring back Ejner Larsen and Aksel Bender Madsen’s mid-century classic, the Metropolitan Chair. Remaking the model in oak and walnut with the seat and backrest in natural, warm cognac or sleek black leather, the Metropolitan Chair was named after the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York and is one of over 300 pieces from the legendary design duo.
