“The first rule of Fight Club is you don’t talk about Fight Club.” But on this occasion you can. On Tuesday 6th October 2009, the Jameson Cult Film Club is screening the film Fight Club, for free, in a Shoreditch warehouse.

And what’s more, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the movie, Cult Film Club fans can also apply for the chance to recreate Tyler Durden’s signature stunts with an exclusive action-packed underground fighting workshop.

Led by a professional stage combat expert, participants will learn how to recreate unforgettable scenes from the film with all moves captured on camera for a chance to impress friends when it’s all over. They will gain exclusive insider knowledge of the movie industry, with tricks of the trade revealed over the day long induction, before being whisked to the Jameson Cult Film Club screening of the infamous movie.

For those not lucky enough to secure a slot at the workshop, more than 350 tickets are available for the screening itself which promises to be an unforgettable cult film experience with playfulness and a sense of wit at the heart.

Guests arriving at 6.30pm will immediately be transported into another world where the rules of Fight Club adorn brick walls and key quotes such as “I like myself” will decorate the venue. Before the screening begins at 8pm guests can enjoy interactive pre-screening entertainment based on key elements of the movie along with complementary themed Jameson drinks served by bare-chested bartenders. Additional surprises will appear throughout the evening before the event finishes at 11pm. Rumour has it that Tyler Durden and Marla Singer may even put in an appearance…

Fight Club, voted number four in Total Film’s 100 Greatest Movies Of All Time, follows an office employee and a soap salesman who together build a global organisation to help vent male aggression.

As part of the Jameson Cult Film Club, Fight Club is part of a series of free screenings from Jameson Irish Whiskey where guests can enjoy a selection of cult films in a location and atmosphere designed to transport viewers into the world of the film. On 6th October, film-goers will be fully immersed in the world of cult film and treated to an evening of bespoke cocktails, surprises, and unforgettable entertainment in Village Underground in gritty East London.
