Based on the Thomas Pynchon novel, Paul Thomas Anderson writes and directs Inherent Vice, set in the swinging, psychedelic ’60s. Following private investigator Larry “Doc” Sportello (Joaquin Phoenix) as he investigates the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend, Katherin Waterston, Benicio Del Toro, Owen Wilson, Josh Brolin and Reese Witherspoon complete an all-star cast.
