Director Joe Swanberg’s most traditional and mainstream movie to date, Drinking Buddies looks like the indie rom-com 2013 has been calling out for. Starring Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston, Wilde and Johnson play two friends seemingly whose close friendship starts to undermine the committed relationships each party is in. While the chemistry seems clear, it leaves for some awkward moments between the four characters, and hopefully a lot of heartfelt emotion and tender love too. Drinking Buddies hits iTunes on July 25th and theaters from August 23rd.
