With her marriage in a rut, Rachel (Kathryn Hahn) takes the adventurous advice of a friend to go to a strip club with her husband. But after bumping into their stripper in trouble in the street, she invites McKenna (Juno Temple) to stay at their house as a live-in nanny, who quickly drives them even closer to the edge. Sold off the back of this year’s Sundance Film Festival where Jill Soloway won the award for best director, hopes are high it goes beyond the normal indie-drama tropes. Afternoon Delight hits theatres August 30th.
