Tech blog Gizmodo go behind the scenes at Criterion Collection – the company that restores hundreds of classic movies before putting them out on DVD and Blu-ray for the first time – to reveal the painstaking process to get an original film print onto disc, without compromising on quality. From grading and colour correcting the print, to sound editing and the design of custom cover art, it’s inspiring to see the passion and excellence of the Criterion staff, here reviving Alfred Hitchcock’s 1940 espionage thriller, Foreign Correspondent.
