His movie made just before breakthrough comedy Road Trip, Todd Phillips alongside Andrew Gurland directed and produced Frat House for HBO. Winning the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival, the film never aired amid rumours some scenes were staged for the cameras and largely documents the hazing at Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, banned from Muhlenber College, Allentown, Pennsylvania shortly after. Even if some of the events were staged, it still makes for fairly shocking viewing. Catch it before it gets taken down.
