The project director Neill Blomkamp and producer Peter Jackson turn to after their Halo film plans were shelved, District 9 is based on Blomkamp’s 2005 short Alive In Joburg. After an extra-terrestrial race come to earth, they’re ordered to in a restricted refugee camp, though after living peacefully for some time, the humans start to fear, perhaps, the aliens have sinister plans after all.
District 9 is out August 14th in America and September 4th in the UK.
