DVD Review: Valkyrie

Retelling the failed plot to assassinate Hitler and overthrow the government during WWII, Valkyrie might not surprise when the closing credits come around but director Bryan Singer still manages to maintain a level of excitement throughout.

Tom Cruise can mark his performance as a return to form, well and truly putting him back on the trail to salvaging his reputation.

He’s not there quite yet though, and a German accent certainly would have helped matters.
