DVD Review: North Face

Based on a true story, North Face recreate two young soldiers’ attempt to climb the near vertical cliff face of the Eiger mountain.

A romantic sub plot is a strange inclusion, but the main story arc is well told and beautifully shot, building to unbelievable intensity as the pair scale the mountain in horrendous conditions.

The stunning visuals were always going to steal the show, and though you know the outcome before the opening credits roll, North Face doesn’t lose any of its effectiveness.
