To celebrate the home entertainment release of Boardwalk Empire: Season One come January 9th, 2012, HBO and Premier PR put on a wonderful evening’s entertainment at The Nightjar in London late last week, and it was probably one of the best press events we’ve ever been to. More
At long last, Liz Lemon’s coming back to the silver screening, but starting January 12th, she’s returning with a secret. Taking over Community’s Thursday evening slot, the new TV season is getting the shot in the arm it needs.
Created by Tiny Furniture’s Lena Dunham though perhaps more significantly, Girls marks Judd Apatow’s return to the small screen, exec. producing for HBO. The series follows a group of 20-something women as they struggle to make it in the big city. Hopefully this new show won’t disappoint when Girls premieres on HBO in April 2012.

Back for a third and final season, while the second outing of Ben Best, Jody Hill and Danny McBride’s show might not have been the finest to hit HBO, given the new offerings this Fall, we’ll certainly be returning to Kenny Powers’ rampant lifestyle. Jason Sudeikis will be joining the cast too. Eastbound & Down: Season 3 premieres Jan. 2012.
Taking on another new direction with a plot flip-flopping between two dimensions, the start of Fringe’s might take a little bit of sticking with but once you ride the bumps there’s a lot to get out of it. As Walternate and Fauxlivia fight for their seemingly dominant world, after creating a doomsday device, they must decide how to use its power as it soon becomes apparent the future of both universes is at stake. Some of the best science-fiction on TV right now.
