Though the film was somewhat flawed, Michel Gondry’s Be Kind, Rewind brought into the world the quite brilliant swedeing. After film has taken a fair few YouTube remakes, Greg Borenstein and friends instead hit the iOS game The Incident. It’s one of the best video game-to-film adaptations yet. And it didn’t cost over $150m, like Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time.

We’re in love with Eastbound & Down, everyone should be, it’s the anti-hero comedy TV has needed for quite some time. Back for a second season, HBO have put out this iPhone game too, and though it’s not available outside the States, which is more than a little irritating, it is 8-bit brilliance, and free to boot. There’s insults galore as you strive to get Kenny Powers’ career back on track, and while you might complete it in 30 minutes, it’s still more than worth the space on your iPhone. Get it from the iTunes App Store.

Scott Pilgrim meets Katamari. Artists Jemma Salume and Dean Trippe have good taste.
This is such a cool idea, I kind of wish I’d through it it myself. The project is curated by Sputnik.
If the game is anything like this, boy we’re excited. One of the coolest video game trailers for a while, we might just pick up our skateboards and take to the streets of London too.

Every wondered what modern games would look like if they went made in the 8-bit era? No, we hadn’t either, but we’re glad someone tried the theory out. Hit the jump for the reimaginings. More
Don’t you just hate it when random stuff starts falling from the sky? Yeah, us too. Handily, Big Bucket Software captured this every day problem in a game. And it’s amazing.
What with running a magazine and all, it’s hard to find the time to play games, but this. looks. awesome. Out now on the Xbox Live Arcade.

This is amazing news to say the least. This post could simply be “Hell, yes!” and it would be enough. More
We’ve been waiting a while for a good movie to video game tie-in. In fact, if film fans think they’ve had it bad with movies based on games, it’s even worse the other way around. Iron Man? Dreadful. Transformers? Horrendous. And before even you scream out Goldeneye, sure the classic N64 game borrowed Bond’s title, but the game certainly didn’t borrow the story or gameplay, or first-person shooters would be called Bond-em-ups. Which doesn’t sound right in the first place.
With Toy Story 3, we might just be onto a winner. Or at least hopefully it won’t be terrible. Behind the scenes videos after the jump. More
