Edgar Allan Poe once mused, “the Boundaries which divide life from death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?” and Saskia Kretzschmann made it into a short film. Based on Poe’s quotation, The Boundaries Of Life And Death is the result of her 5th semester at Anhalt University.

An incredible timelapse recreation of Alred Hitchcock’s classic 1954 thriller, Rear Window, Jeff Dosom dissected the entire film before stitching it back together in After Effects. The order of events stays true to the movie’s plot.

Quiksilver USA’s Balaram Stack and Chase Wilson head north to join up with local Raph Bruhwiler for three days of surf in Tofino, B.C. Taking in huge waves and a few killer whales, it was a pretty amazing trip, however brief, as the Canadian surf proves itself to be a lot more than just onrushing water. Directed and edited by Adam Dewolfe.

A glorious computer-animated short, OddBall Animation’s Ruin feels like the best video game you never played as a vigilante tries to escape his attackers in a post-apocalyptic world. We’d love to see more of this character’s story.

Near 18 months old now but still every bit as breathtaking, Johnny Kelly’s extended spot for Chipotle depicts the life of a farmer as he slowly turns his family farm into an industrial animal factory before seeing the errors of his ways and opting for a more sustainable future. The video is intended to emphasize the importance of developing a sustainable food system, a lesson learned after Chipotle’s 10 year flirtation under ownership of giant MacDonald’s.
