Draining the pool of a soon to be demolished LEA swimming hall in Dagenham, East London, the space was quickly converted into a world-class BMX park, and hosted much-hyped competition, The Pool. With such an unusual layout of trick spaces, The Pool allowed for truly unique runs and pitted 40 international riders against each other, but this project was always going to be about much more than just a bunch of 540 caballeros.

Made out of a single piece of tubular steel, Daniel Lorch’s Sinus table trestle is extremely robust but not at all heavy. Allowing for legroom undernearth a tabletop of your choice, it allows for quick changes in your room layout, or stacked to save space when not in use. You can even screw tops in permanently, thanks to a hole drilled undernear the support pads. The Sinus trestles come at €185 for the pair, while L&Z will sell you the top pictured above for another €300 too. Each available in a range of exciting colours to complement your workspace.

Easily the coolest way to simply build a shelving unit, Brickbox come as single, much smaller boxes, and from there on out, it’s DIY.
